Dina Hall is an award-winning singer, songwriter and recording artist from Bethlehem, PA, USA. Her songs deal with the conflict between the head and the heart, often striking up conversations between them both. Whether solo or with a full band, Dina’s performances are always dynamic, with powerful vocals and driving acoustic rhythm on each song.
Dina Hall’s work blends folk/rock and Americana instrumentation with intimately powerful vocals. Current band members include Andy Killcoyne on guitar, Nick Franclik on bass, and Josh Kanusky on drums.
She has been a repeat performer at numerous festivals in the region, including one of the largest in the country – Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa. She has appeared on the Lyrikplatz singer/songwriter stage, and with the full band on the Liederplatz stage. In May 2013, she made her debut performance at Muses in the Vineyard, Belvidere, NJ. An integral part of the festival, she returns each year either as an emcee or performer.
“Some people can change in front of your eyes. It might be because of their temper, or from a life-changing experience. With Dina Hall, it happens when you put a guitar in her hands and let her sing.” – Dave Howell, The Morning Call
Dina also co-produces and hosts “Live from Godfrey Daniels” on WDIY 88.1 FM. The show airs on Tuesday nights and highlights artists who have performed at the legendary Godfrey Daniels in Bethlehem, PA.
In September 2011 Dina released her debut full-length album of original music. Logic and the Heart was recorded and engineered by Kent Heckman at Red Rock Recording studio in Saylorsburg, Pa. Co-produced by Michael Fritz, it is an independently-funded project. The album features appearances by a number of guest musicians.
